The Beacon Dentists, Pickersleigh Rd,Great Malvern have been very supportive of my work also. Detist - Karen loves my big landscapes and faery deisigns, so there are a few large paintings on show in her beautiful surgery, which overlooks the common in Malvern ,and lots of others elsewhere around the surgery , including work from other local artists, so go and get your teeth done there and have a look !!.It will ease any pain or fears.
Even if you dont need surgery, Im sure you d be welcome.

I love Superspirit Rainbow camp and the markets are great, usually 2-3 times a week, when camps are running. Its in Gloucestershire. In August. look on www.superspirit.co.uk to visit the camp. TRY IT !! its fun and very spiritual and reasonable. Attending it makes a very cheap and pleasant 11day break from 19th August... so i how you can join us.




ABOUT ME.......


I have always drawn, sewn and painted but ..
I started my professional creative life in Halesowen,in the West Midlands, as an Engineering Tracer, when this form of art was used in Drawing Offices everywhere.
We worked on linen and plastic, with ink rapidographs and liner pens.

Since then I ve always been involved in artistic amd creative activities from Amateur Drama Societies, including drama production, acting, set design, construction and costume design . I also got involved with playgroup management and later inspiring young people in youth work and elderly people in care.
My major art qualifications were in the above areas.

I was also a clown and a drama teacher, when my own children were growing up.It gave my sons a more colourful childhood.... thats what they say now anyhow!

Nowadays its difficult to stop me painting . I paint lots of faeries, and mystical themed pieces, abstracts , local buildings, views, trees and flowers.
I use a great deal of recycled materials in my work, especially in my mixed media work and embroidery. I sometimes use old frames and canvases. I also love using cloth and clothing as a canvas including batik , which I find great fun. I also produce a great deal of embroidered brooches and hats. This is evident in my embroidered Top Nots which you can see in the gallery and showcases , also at the markets and the Signal Box exhibition.

You'll find my mosaic smashed ,glazed pieces, on my gallery pages. They consist of Smashed china and beer bottles. Please take a look and let me know what you think, i ve sold a stack of stuff this year so far and have promises of more sales. you ll notice my prices are really low. i just want to see my stuff on your walls and hats on your heads. Theres always something new in the making.

I can use precious items which have been broken, or forgotten , but which you still cherish, things you can neither use or dispose of, and these can be embedded forever into a personally crafted sacred sculpture, brooche or hat. You can help to design your special piece , of course, if you wish.

Something to remember,wear, or and gaze at, on your wall forever. Embedded broken china and jewellery lends itself specifically to this idea and can make a wonderful gift or memento.
Some of my ceramic sculptures can be hung out of doors in a sheltered area. There can be sharp surfaces, so do take care when handling.

The final artwork will be varnished and cemented into tile paste so that it can be displayed in a sheltered area of your garden or home.

Last year (2009) I began making the embroidered TOPNOTS. TOPNOTS are fun happy turbans, see them on my site and my shop here. they are especially good for those suffering with hair loss or with messy hair and they 're not only fun and warm to wear, they re also far cheaper than a wig and are all made from beautifully resourced and manipulated recycled fabrics and jewellery. I love making them and they re getting quite popular.

I provide nutritional and 'Hands on' treatments in Herefordshire and in the Midlands.

My natural health work is also an art,in its own way, so I feel its appropriate to mention it.


I spend a good deal of time working in Birmingham , where I offer Treatments at Zen Gems in Pekingham St Halesowen.



I also have a delightful informal gallery here in my studio, in Ledbury , with masses of material to view,and you'll usually find me engrossed in my latest piece of work. If you care to ring me first, do come and visit.

I like dentists and last April i had a good sale at the Marden dentist in Hereford so I shall be there again I hope next April.Look out for me!!DO !!

HEALTH WORKSHOPS FOR SELF HELP,

I also run regular Natural Health Workshops, they re running constantly , ask for the latest list of dates and venues. costs only £40 per head , including a GREAT lunch and lovely people to meet. But book early as places go fast...........LIMITED NUMBERS.

My favourite Introductory workshop that I run regularly, and can run for YOU anywhere,any venue, is HAND REFLEXOLOGY , this is SO interesting to learn about, and can give INSTANT pain relief.

If you would like a Faery reading , this is also available , ( ask about faery parties)
And can assist with any life problems or adjustments, with my own spiritul faery card in my own designs ( with a bit of help from the faeries of course). see Gallery on Topnot parties.

You can also , as a package, request a painting as a memento, a record , of your favourite Spirit faery, depicting your faery reading experience , a personal memento. This makes an excellent gift for a friend. At a cost of £40 - £50.

Pamper days can also be arranged in Ledbury or at your own venue. Also my latest idea which is a Head Party where you can have an indian head massage . a faery reading , and a chance to make or simply try on my Top nots. very amusing. and you simpy provide the refreshements. A great way to relax and have fun with your friends and me.
